I had a sweet tooth at breakfast on Sunday. Not very “Swedish” of me but when my American sweet tooth is calling I have to give in. Best latte and cinnamon roll from Vurma’s on Hornstull in Södermalm :) nom nom nom

In February I was lucky enough to go to Åre for a workshop. If you don’t know where Åre is, check it out here. It’s a 45 minute flight from Stockholm and when I landed it felt like I landed on the north pole. The airport was one terminal and snow covered everything. But it was so fun. Definitely worth a trip if you’re ever in the area! Check out my pictures:
At the airport all ready for the long flight….45 minutes long!

We were not without good food, wine and company:

From the top of the mountain was a spectacular view!

And a cute Swedish cabin:

After ski time:

After ski continued:

I’m in Northern Sweden, yes it was a bit cold while skiing:

I hope you enjoyed!

All of life is a journey…which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.

A walk by the water during my lunch last week. Its not quite spring yet so don’t be fooled. It was about 38 degrees so if I stood still long enough I could feel the warmth of the sun of my face =)

Hi All!
I went to Cambridge, England twice in the last four months. Although I went for work I was still able to be a tourist for a short time. Here are some photographs of my trips to Cambridge.
Cheers!
Cambridge University is one of the oldest in the world. The buildings are beautiful!:

Some town culture for you: this cross point is called “Reality Check”:

Typical English photo:

I was very lucky to visit Cambridge in the fall last year. The scenery was gorgeous:

The view from my hotel room. This was taken in January this year. Snow on the ground!:

Whats that saying called, Work hard, play hard?!:

One more scenery shot:

The end of a nice trip, the train station in London:

WOW! I can’t believe I have neglected my blog for so long. When I began my blog, I didn’t have a job. I just moved to Sweden, was blogging, studying a language and had a lot of free time. So when I started my job a year ago I thought, “I have a job and a blog! This is too overwhelming”. But I’m back in the game and back to managing life with a busy schedule. =) I have a lot of travel plans planned for 2012 and I want to share my stories and photos again. Please check back for amazing blog posts, pictures and a good time!
Missed you blog readers,
Alexis

I had the amazing pleasure of having my mom AND sister visit me at the end of March/beginning of April. It was amazing, to say the least. It felt great to show them where I’ve been the last eight months. They were also lucky to experience the cold weather I’ve been experiencing. Lucky them. :) Their visit was a mix of what locals do in Stockholm to what tourist do. It was so much fun and throughout the next couple of weeks I’m going to be posting my experiences at these tourists attractions and write a ‘Tourist Guide’ for all of you who will be visiting Stockholm this summer. If you have any requests, please send them my way, and stay tuned!
